Hazrat Ibn Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, said that if someone sees in a dream that he is walking on the surface of water, like the water of a river or a stream, it is an indication of his pure belief and strong faith. And if he drinks a lot of clear and pleasant water, it is a sign that he will have a long life and live in comfort. However, if he drinks tasteless or salty water, the interpretation is the opposite. And if he sees that he is drinking clear and good water from a river, it indicates that he will become the ruler of the entire world, and some say that he will gain honor, wealth, and blessings according to the amount of water he drinks. If the water is clear and pure, it is good; if it is muddy, it means he will face distress, difficulty, fear, and terror.

Hazrat Ibrahim Karmani, may Allah have mercy on him, said that if someone sees in a dream that he is drinking hot water, it is an indication of illness and distress. And if he sees that hot water is poured on him and he is unaware of it, it is a sign that he will fall ill or suffer severe grief. And if he sees that he has fallen into water, it indicates that he will be caught in distress and sorrow. If he carries water in a bowl, it signifies that he will be infatuated with wealth and life. If he gives his wife water in a glass bowl (wise people associate glass bowls with women's essence and the water in the glass bowl with the child in the mother's womb), if the bowl is broken, the wife will die, and the child will survive. If the water is spilled and the bowl remains intact, it indicates that the child will die, and the woman will survive. And if he sees that he is giving water to people without any cost, it indicates that he will benefit people in this world and the hereafter and will populate desolate places. If in a dream he enters a house where water was spilled, it indicates that he will be sorrowful and worried. And if he sees that he is drinking clear water from a bowl like a dog, it means he will live a life of pleasure and luxury but will do such deeds that will lead him into trouble and temptation, and he will gradually give his wealth to people and spend in charity.

Hazrat Jafar Sadiq, may Allah have mercy on him, said that if someone sees in a dream that water is increasing at the right time, it indicates that there will be abundance of blessings that year. And if he sees water being absorbed into the ground, it indicates that people will be safe and at peace. If he sees water rising over people’s heads, it indicates that there will be prosperity and abundance in the country that year. If he sees clean water in his house, it indicates that he will receive blessings and live in comfort. If he sees himself standing in dirty water in his house, the interpretation is the opposite.

Hazrat Daniyal, peace be upon him, said that watering gardens and crops with rivers and streams indicates relief from sorrow and acquisition of wealth. Giving water to people signifies religion, piety, and good deeds. If he sees himself going into the water and at that time his body is strong, it indicates that he will be engaged in some difficult task from the ruler, and he will be accepted in that task and other tasks. If he enters clear water and his body is submerged, it signifies strength in religion, trust in God, and steadfastness. If he sees water flowing into his garden, it indicates that he will acquire a woman or a slave girl. If he sees clean water falling on him, it indicates that he will receive benefit and gain. If he sees dirty water falling on him, it indicates that he will suffer loss.

Hazrat Jafar Sadiq, may Allah have mercy on him, said that the interpretation of entering water in a dream has five aspects: first, certainty; second, strength; third, a difficult task; fourth, companionship and love; fifth, receiving some work from the ruler of the city.

حضرت ابن سرین رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے فرمایا ہے ۔ اگر کوئی خواب دیکھے کہ وہ سطح آب پر پانی کی طرح چلتا ہےجیسے دریا اور نہر کا پانی ۔ یہ اس کے پاک اعتقاد اور قوت ایمانی کی دلیل ہے ۔ اور اگرصاف اور خوشگوار پاننی بہت پیا ہے تو یہ دلیل ہے کہ اس کی عمر دراز اور خوش عیش ہو گا اور اگر بے مزہ یا شور پانی پیا ہے تو اس کی تعبیر پہلے کے خلاف ہے ۔ اور اگر دیکھے کہ دریا سے صاف اور اچھا پانی پیتا ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ تمام جہان کا بادشاہ ہو گا اور بعض کہتے ہی کہ اس آب دریا کے پینے کے قدر پر بزدگی اور مال و نعمت حاصل کرے گا۔   اگر پانی مصفا اور صاف ہے اور اگر گندلا ہے تو اس کو رنج اور سختی اورخوف اور دہشت پہنچے گی۔

  حضرت ابراہیم کرمانی رحمتہ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے فرمایا ہے کہ اگر دیکھے کہ پانی گرم پیتا ہے تو بیماری اور رنج کی دلیل ہے اور دیکھے کہ اس پر پانی گرم گرایا گیا ہے اور اس کو خبر نہیں ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ بیمار ہو گا یا اس کو سخت غم پہنچے گا اور اگردیکھے کہ پانی میں گرا ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ رنج اور غم میں گرفتار ہو گا اور اگر پانی پیالے میں اٹھائے تو دلیل ہے کہ مال اور زندگی پر فریفتہ ہو گا اور اگر کانچ کے پیالے میں اپنی عورت کو پانی دیا (اور دانا لوگ کانچ کے پیالے کو عورتوں کے جوہر کے ساتھ نسبت دیتے ہیں اور پانی جو کانچ کے پیالے میں ہے اس کو فرزند کے ساتھ نسبت دیتے ہیں جو ماں کے پیٹ میں ہے اگر پیالہ ٹوٹا ہوا ہے تو بیوی مرے گی اور بچہ رہے گا۔ اگر پانی گرا اور پیالہ خالی رہا تو دلیل ہے کہ بچہ مرگا اور عورت بچ رہے گی ۔ اور اگر دیکھا کہ بغیر قیمت کے لوگوں کو پانی دیتا ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ دنیا اور آخرت میں لوگوں کو اس سے فاہدہ پہنچے گا اور ویران جگہ کو آباد کرے گا ۔ اور اگر خواب میں دیکھے کہ جس گھر میں پانی گرایا ہوا تھا اس کے اندر داخل ہوا ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ غمگین اور متفکر (متفکر : فکر مند ) ہو گا اور اگر دیکھے کہ پیالے کے صاف پانی کو کتے کی طرح پیا ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ عیش (عیش و عشرت سے گزارے گی: مزے سے گزارے گی) اور عشرت سے زندگی گزرے گا ۔ لیکن ایسا کام کرے گاکہ بلا اور فتنہ میں پڑے گا اور مال کو تھوڑا تھوڑا کرکے لوگوں کو بخشے گا اور خیرات میں خرچ کرے گا۔

حضرت جابر مغربی رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے فرمایا ہے کہ اگر پانی کو وقت پر زیادہ ہوتے دیکھے تو دلیل ہے کہ اس سال میں نعمت کی فراخی ہوگی اور اگر پانی دیکھے اور زمین میں جذب ہو جائے تو دلیل ہے کہ عام لوگوں کو سلامتی کی عافیت (عا فیت: آارم)حاصل ہوگی۔اور اگر دیکھے کہ پانی لوگوں کے سروں پر چڑھ جاتا ہے ۔ تو دلیل ہے کہ اس سال ملک میں نعمت اور فراخی ہوگی ۔ اگر دیکھے کہ اس کے گھر میں صاف پانی ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ نعمت اور خوش عیشی پائے گا اور اگر دیکھے کہ گھر میں گدلے پانی پر کھڑا ہے تو پھر اس کی تاویل پہلے کے خلاف ہے ۔

حضرت دانیال علیہ السلام نے فرمایا ہے کہ باغ اور زراعت کو دریاؤں اور نہروں سے پانی دینا غم اور اندوہ سے خلاصی اور مال کی دلیل ہے اور لوگوں کو پانی دینا دین اور دیانت اور نیک کاموں کی دلیل ہے اور اگر دیکھے کہ پانی میں جاتا ہے اور اس وقت اس کا حجم مضبوط ہے تو دلیل ہے کہ حاکم کی طرف سے کسی سخت کام می مشغول ہو گا اور اس قول اس کام میں اور دوسرے کاموں میں مقبول ہو گا۔ اور اگر صاف پانی میں جائے اور اس کا جسم چھپ جائے تو قوت دین اور تو کل بر خدا اور استقامت ( استقامت :ثابت قدمی ) کی دلیل ہے اور اگر دیکھے کہ پانی باغ میں جاتا ہے ، عورت یا کنیز ملنے کی دلیل ہے اور اگر اپنے اوپر صاف پانی کو گرتا دیکھے تو دلیل ہے کہ اس سے خیرو منفعت پہنچے گی اور اگر دیکھے اس پر گدلا پانی گرایا ہے تو اس سے نقصان پانے کی دلیل ہے ۔

حضرت جعفر صادق علیہ السلام نے فرمایا ہے کہ خواب کے اندر پانی میں جانے کی تعبیر پانچ وجہ پر بتاتے ہیں ۔ اول یقین ۔دوم قوت ۔ سوم مشکل کام ، چہارم مصاحبت ( مصاحبت: دوستی ، محبت ، پیار ) پنجم ریئس شہر کی طرف سے کوئی کام ۔
