Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If someone sees in a dream that they are facing the direction of the east while praying, it indicates that they will perform Hajj. If they do not have the means to perform Hajj, then it indicates that they will travel towards the Christians. And if one sees themselves praying facing the west, and their inclination is towards the Qiblah, it indicates that they will turn away from the path of Islam. And if one sees themselves praying on the road with their back towards the Qiblah, it indicates that their death is approaching, and they should repent. And if one sees themselves praying without knowing the direction of the Qiblah, it indicates that they will be perplexed in matters of religion. And if one sees themselves praying towards the Qiblah, it indicates that they will remain steadfast on the path of religion.
Hazrat Ibrahim Karmani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If one sees themselves leading the prayers of a community, it indicates that they will exercise authority over as many people as there are followers in the congregation. And if one sees that the time for prayer has passed and they cannot find a clean place to pray, it indicates that their work will be difficult to accomplish. And if one sees that they have broken their prayer, and it was not completed or was performed without ablution, it indicates that their intention will not be fulfilled. And if one sees themselves leading prayers in a mosque or school, it indicates that the ruler of that country will be their subordinate. And if one sees the opposite, then its interpretation is also opposite. And if one sees that they have performed the bowing and prostration in prayer perfectly, it indicates that their religious and worldly affairs will be righteous.
Hazrat Jabir Maghribi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If one sees that they have performed the prayers on time, and the sky is bright and clean, it indicates that their status with Allah will be elevated. And if the sky is dark and cloudy, it indicates grief and sorrow. And if one sees that they have prayed, it indicates that their hopes will be fulfilled. And if one sees that they have performed the evening prayers, it indicates that they will engage with their family and be happy with them. And if one sees that they have performed the morning prayers, it indicates that they will embark on a journey. And if a woman sees this dream, it indicates that she will experience menstruation. And if one performs prayers without ablution, it indicates that they will fall ill. And if one performs the obligatory prayers of the night, it indicates safety and victory over enemies. And if one sees that they have prayed in a garden, it indicates that they will repent from their sins. And if one sees that they have prayed in a boat, it indicates that their debt will be repaid. And if one sees that they were not at the place of prayer and did not perform the prayer, it indicates that they will be a mischief-maker and wicked. And if one sees that after praying, they prostrate, it indicates victory and control over a wealthy and powerful person. And if one sees that they did not prostrate to anyone except Allah, it indicates that their desire will be fulfilled. And if one sees that they prostrated against a wall, it indicates that they will suffer humiliation and distress from the elders. And if one sees that they have prayed and then consumed honey, it indicates that they will draw closer to their family. And if one sees themselves sitting for the greetings in prayer, it indicates deliverance from sorrow and fulfillment of desires. And if one sees that they gave the first salutation to the right side after prayer, it indicates that their state will be confused. And if one sees that they performed the prayer sitting down, it indicates victory over enemies. And some say that their excuse will be accepted. And if one sees that they prayed for themselves during the prayer, it indicates that they will have a child.
The command of Allah Almighty is: "When he called his Lord in a private conversation." And if one sees that they prayed in darkness, it indicates joy from sorrows. And if one sees that they prayed at night, it indicates safety from all kinds of fears. And blessings, greatness, and security will be attained. And if one sees that they prayed on their side, it indicates sickness. And if one sees that they prayed the Friday prayers, it indicates that they will go on a journey and earn a lawful livelihood. And if one sees that they prayed in Bayt al-Maqdis, it indicates that they will inherit wealth, and their livelihood will be abundant. And if one sees that they prayed in the Kaaba or on the roof of the Kaaba, it indicates that they will have the support of the caliph in their affairs. And if one sees that they performed prostration after prayer, it indicates victory over a great and wealthy person, and they will have control over them. And if one sees that they did not prostrate to anyone other than Allah, it indicates that their wish will be fulfilled. And if one sees that they prostrated against a wall, it indicates that they will suffer hardship and humiliation from the elders. And if one sees that they performed the prayer and drank honey, it indicates that they will become close to their family. And if one sees that they sat for the greetings during prayer, it indicates deliverance from sorrow and fulfillment of desires. And if one sees that they gave the first salutation to the right side after prayer, it indicates that their state will be confused. And if one sees that they performed the prayer sitting down, it indicates victory over enemies. And some say that their excuse will be accepted. And if one sees that they prayed for themselves during the prayer, it indicates that they will have a child. The command of Allah Almighty is: "Then let him not obey, but prostrate and draw near." And the interpreters have explained that if one sees that they did not bow in prayer, it indicates that they will not give Zakat on their wealth. And if one sees that they performed the prayer correctly, it indicates that Allah will accept their worship and their prayers and mercy from Allah Almighty will be upon them.
Hazrat Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: Praying in a dream has seven reasons: (1) Security (2) Happiness (3) Respect (4) Rank (5) Deliverance (6) Attainment of desires (7) Loss in fate. And there are five reasons for bowing and prostration in a dream: (1) Achievement of desires (2) Wealth (3) Victory (4) Success (5) Fulfilling the command of Allah.
