Hazrat Jabir Maghribi (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned that a comb in a dream signifies supportive and beneficial friends, and combing one's hair represents achieving one's desires. The person who combs their hair in the dream is someone who dispels grief and sorrow from others' hearts, pays off debts, and some interpreters suggest that they are likely to be beautiful people with bright eyes.

حضرت ابن سیرین رحمتہ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے فرمایا ہے ۔کہ خواب میں شانہ ایسا شخص ہے کہ جس کی حسب اور نسب نہیں ہے ۔ اور اس کے دین میں نفاق ہے ۔ اگر خواب میں دیکھے کہ سر اور ڈاڑھی کو شانہ کرتا ہے۔ دلیل ہے کہ غموں سے نجات پائے گا اور قرض سے سرخرو ہو گا اور مراد کو پہنچے گا ۔
حضرت ابراہیم کرمانی رحمتہ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے فرمایا ہے ۔اگر دیکھے کہ ڈاڑھی کو کنگھی کرتا ہے اور کوئی بال باہر نکلتا ہے دلیل ہے کہ اپنے مال کو زکوۃ نکالے گا ۔ حضرت جابر مغربی رحمتہ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے فرمایا ہے کہ شانہ خواب میں موافق دوست کار خیر میں ہیں اور بالوں کو شانہ کرنا مراد کو پانا ہے ۔اور شانہ بنانے والا ایسا شخص ہے جو اس کے دل سے غم واندوہ کو دور کرتاہے اور قرض اتارتا ہے ۔ اور بعض اہل تعبیر نے بیان کیا ہے کہ خوبصورت لوگ ہیں جن کے د یدار سے آنکھیں روشن ہوتی ہیں ۔
